In The Proper Time

 My devotions recently took me to Matthew 24 and I thought of a sweet homeschooling momma of two who passed away several years ago.   We were part of the same playgroup during our early years. As children chased each other through parks and yards, we moms visited and encouraged each other.  I remember my friends as a gentle smiling spirit.  A couple of months before she died she sent me a note of encouragement that meant much to me. I knew she was struggling in the terrible battle vs. cancer, and yet here she was encouraging me.

In Daddy's Shoes

The other day I was gathering some photographs of my son when he was five. There he was, standing in his daddy’s boots with a big grin on his face. How proud he looked! The boots were much too large and heavy for him, but he loved wearing them.

The Image of Caesar? No Way!

As the tax deadline approaches, let us "render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's," but always remember to "render to God the things that are God's."
